Since I started Red Buffalo Skincare in southwest China in 2018, I have used 35kg of beeswax. If I divide that very crucial base ingredient into all the products I have made that’s roughly 1300 bars of solid lotion, lip balms and deodorants that have been made, sold and used. At roughly 65g of plastic per plastic pump-nozzle bottle of regular lotion, 10g of plastic per lip balm tube and 55g per deodorant container, that’s an estimated 96.5kg of plastic waste saved in 5 years of making and selling!
